Six bands square off at Sódóma on Saturday for the honor of playing at Wacken Open Air, a massive outdoor metal festival in Wacken, Germany.  The festival is one of the biggest of its kind, with over 80,000 attendees last year.  They have booked such legendary acts as Mötley Crüe, Iron Maiden, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Ozzy Osbourne, to name a few.  And by the end of the night, one of the bands at Sódóma can count themselves among their ranks.

The six bands competing are:

Angist

Atrum

Gruesome Glory

Ophidian I

Gone Postal

Carpe Noctem

Nine judges from various positions in the entertainment industry will score the performances.  In addition to the six competitors, Sódóma welcomes special guests Moldun and Skálmöld, as well as Wistaria, who won the Wacken Metal Battle last year.
