Minister of Education and Cultural Affairs Illugi Gunnarsson wore a rainbow scarf gifted to him by The National Queer Organization and Reykjavík Pride at the opening ceremony of the Sochi Winter Olympics, reports RÚV.
While Gunnarsson has in the past been reluctant to mix politics and the Olympics, he donned the scarf and posted a picture of himself wearing it on his Facebook Page.
