Icelandic singer-songwriter Lay Low, née Lovísa Elísabet Sigrúnardóttir, has just signed to the local label Record Records.
Her first release on her new label will be a live album entitled ‘Live at Home’ which she recorded (surprise!) at her house in Hveragerði. It was recorded in front of an audience of her die-hard fans, who were so numerous that they couldn’t all fit in the house. The show was also streamed live over the internet for the fans that couldn’t make the trip to her house.
This is Lay Low’s second live album and it will include the previously unreleased tracks “Donna Mo’s Blues” and “The Dead Of Winter”. The latter will also appear on Lay Low’s fourth studio album, which Record Records will release later this year.
“It’s always a pleasure to have a new artist on the label and we must say that it is top nice to have her join us since our camaraderie goes way back,” Record Records stated in a press release. The label also represents current pop-darlings Of Monsters and Men, whom Lay Low has been touring with.
“Donna Mo’s Blues” can be streamed now on Soundcloud, too, so check it out!
