Is it irony to name an album that follows a music craze that dominates the music charts and uses a disco beat Death Before Disco? Like Franz Ferdinand, Jeff Who? write about relationship difficulties, though they’re a little less cutting in putting down their exes than Franz Ferdinand are. To their credit, Jeff Who? have good production level, and they deliver some nice vocal treatments, especially on track nine, Barfly, a personal favourite. They really do a gutty, if less witty, version of Franz. But they just sound too similar to the Scotsmen.
