Icelanders Give Americans Tips On Handling Polar Vortex

Published January 9, 2014

Icelanders interviewed on NBC’s The Today Show gave their advice on how to wait out the polar vortex currently blowing over the United States.

The Icelanders interviewed seemed both sympathetic to America’s plight but also confused.

“I don’t understand why [the cold] is so much problem” one Icelandic man told NBC reporter Michelle Kosinski at Laugardalslaug swimming pool.

The advice dispensed by the Icelanders in the report included wearing the right boots, lighting candles to make things cosy, making sure there was plenty to read and just relaxing.
