Champagne clubs, ‘VIP club’ and ‘Strawberries’, have closed indefinitely after they failed to obtain an ongoing operating license, reports Vísir.

These clubs have been in the media several times in the past year and were both raided by police last fall. Strawberries was closed down for a month after falling under suspicion of providing prostitution. Eight arrests were made in connection with that operation, including the club owner.

Both clubs reopened eventually but now that the police’s request to withdraw the operating licenses of these clubs has been approved the clubs have shut down indefinitely.
